The School of General Studies welcomes the Freshman/Sophomore Year Experience Students (FSYE) to “The Hill” Tuesday from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. in the Rattlers’ Den. Come participate in an ice cream social and mingle with your peers, advisers, faculty and others. A calendar of events, applications for Mr. and Miss FSYE, Mr. & Miss General Studies and other General Information will be distributed. A DJ will be on site.

The FAMU S.A.F.E. Team is looking for new members, both paid and volunteer, to serve the FAMU community. Come to the interest meeting on September 11, 2007 at 7:00 pm in Benjamin L. Perry (east entrance) to learn how you can be apart of our organization. The primary mission of Students Available For Escorts (S.A.F.E. The Office of Student Activities will be hosting the 2007 Volunteer Fair Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Set. Representatives from 30 community agencies will be on display, interacting with the student body and highlight the main function of their organizations in order to draw assistants and volunteers. Some of the agencies scheduled to attend are Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Head Start, YMCA and many more. Students and organizations are strongly encouraged to participate with the present agencies for service-learning opportunities and to earn hours for their Rattler Record.
