Last round: Short on time, full of juicy news

Sorry everyone. This marks the last “Hiss” column for the semester. Although this is coming to an end, it doesn’t stop the gossip wheels from turning. Let’s start off with the overexposed Beyoncé. She remade the song, “Still In Love (Kissing You)” originally performed by Des’ree – famous for her 1994 hit song “Gotta Be.” Now Des’ree is suing Beyoncé. I guess Beyoncé thought putting the song on her “B’Day” re-release wouldn’t sprout any drama. Well, we see how much she’ll have to pay up for that. Stop style-jacking “B.” I guess one Hollywood movie wasn’t enough for musician Alicia Keys. She loved the camera so much she decided to push back her third studio album. Fans will now have to wait for the album, which was originally set for a June release, to come out in October. Come on now Alicia! Decide what you want to do. It seems like everyone is making a comeback nowadays. Singer D’Angelo is plotting a return to the music scene. He’s working on a new album. No date has been set as of yet for his album release. This month, Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams graces the cover of “Time Out Chicago” magazine where she discusses her role as Shug Avery in Oprah’s Broadway production of “The Color Purple.” It seems that Destiny’s Child members are doing it big these days. Look out for Kelly Rowland’s CD soon. I heard it’s on point. Now that Larry Birkhead is the father of the late Anna Nicole Smith’s baby Dannielynn. Supposedly, there may be a custody battle in the works with Virgie Arthur. What I don’t understand is how Smith ha s caused more drama while dead than when she was alive. Come on everyone, get it together! Look out for the “Hiss” next semester where there will surely be twice as many ups, downs and rebounds in the world of entertainment.
