Poem: I LOVE YOU

I love you.

Though I’ve never been in love before and don’t actually know what love is and I’m sure I’m not supposed to be feeling it this soon and with you so who knows what Im really talking about when I say it anyway. Yet,

I love you.

I don’t know how or when it started just that my common sense departed and though it’s probably not the smartest I can’t help but be retarded cause this is definitely the farthest I’ve been in this uncharted territory and my heart is pushing to see just how far this goes. Who knows, but

I love you.

And like those “truth in advertising” bits, that’s love with no asterisks, (like I love you but I’m not in love with you so here’s my *** to kiss.) there are no due dates to miss, no overdraft balances, no self addressed stamped envelopes to see what my answer is, there’s no checking my master list and no it’s not cancerous, so no warning label cause the truth of the matter is

I love you.

And I’m fine with only that, you don’t ever have to love me back. We Don’t have to make a pact, don’t ever have to cut me slack, never have to speak with tact, you could love some other cat and none of that would change the fact that

I love you.
