The Hiss: Murphy deals with baby mama drama

Although it’s getting colder outside, the entertainment world continues to heat up with the latest in entertainment news.

Dreams really do come true – for Jennifer Hudson that is. The former American Idol finalist and vocal powerhouse snagged a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role as Effie White in “Dreamgirls.”

Eddie Murphy also took home an award that night for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.

Now, if only Mr. Murphy could get his love life in order.

Mel B., formerly of the Spice Girls, has alleged she is pregnant with his child. And wasn’t singer/songwriter Babyface’s ex-wife Tracy Edmonds Murphy’s date at the Golden Globes? Unless NBC is in to digital altering, she was definitely sitting comfortably with Murphy at his table. Just a thought.

This week means more woes for singer Toni Braxton. The Grammy-winning singer is suing her former manager, Barry Hankerson, claiming he owes her $10 million for convincing her to leave Arista and join Blackground Records, according to the Associated Press.

Speaking of owing money, model Naomi Campbell entered a guilty plea to assault for hitting her former maid in the head with a phone. According to http://etonline.com, Campbell will have to pay medical expenses, serve five days of community service and attend anger management classes.

Rapper Kanye West isn’t done making news either. He confirmed that he is developing a television show for the HBO network. I hope he’s as successful in television as he is in music. Only time will tell.
