Officials release cause of death for FAMU student

Leon County Sheriff’s Deputies believe 20-year-old FAMU student Nefertiti Nicole Williams was the victim of a murder-suicide.

Brooks was found on the first floor of the home. He is believed to have died four to six hours before his body was found. A pistol, believed to be his was found next to him.

Williams was the news editor of The Famuan, Florida A&M University’s three-time-a-week newspaper.

No other information is known about Brooks.
