Forget the club; use this weekend for Rattler pride

Are you ready for the weekend?

You certainly should be, especially if you have already begun midterm examinations. But what do you plan to do?

Yes, the club or house party scene is a popular – and sometimes overdone – circuit. However that just takes care of the evening.

What about during the day?

Well, the track team hosts a clinic that is open to the community.

It starts Saturday morning at 10 a.m. The MEAC cross country championships are roughly two weeks away, but the team has found time to work with the campus and Capital City residents.

Also, the football team is back at Bragg Memorial Stadium and will meet the South Carolina State Bulldogs Saturday at 6 p.m.

This is the Rattlers’ second home game of the season and their last one before homecoming at the end of the month.

The football team has won three straight games and is still in the mix for the conference championship.

If you can take a break from your studies or push aside the pillow for a couple of hours, then we urge you to come out and support your school.

So remember to wash your orange and green gear before Saturday morning.

Strike up the band, get your pom-poms and clappers out, lace up those running shoes and get ready for a fall Saturday all can enjoy.

It’s time to show some Rattler pride!
