The Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will award their “Mona Humphries Bailey” scholarship to the most qualified student majoring in any science discipline while maintaining a GPA of 3.2 or above. Applications are available in SGA and are due April 12.

The FAMU String Orchestra has rehearsal Mondays at 3 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Rehearsals will be in the FAMU band room. Interested players of any level are welcome to attend. Anyone with poetry aspirations or creative expressions is invited to join the DC METRO club’s Love Jones/Slam Poetry Night. The Learning Development and Evaluation Center are accepting applications for tutor positions for the Fall Semester 2006. All majors needed, 3.0 GPA or higher, must have completed 60 semester hours. SGA’s Department of Academic Affairs would like to inform all students that open enrollment for the Summer Terms has begun. Graduation Applications for Summer Session A and C were due March 21 and Summer Term B applications are due June 28. Summer tuition and fees are due May 19.  Early fall registration begins April 18 by appointment only. For more information, please contact your academic advisement office.

SGA is looking for dedicated volunteers for its 12th annual Be Out Day to be held April 15 from noon – 6 p.m. There will be a mandatory volunteer meeting Thursday, April 13 at 8 p.m. in Tucker Hall Room 200. If you are interested in volunteering or have already signed up in SGA, please plan to attend this meeting. Assignments will be given out on a first come, first served basis.
