The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is sponsoring a scholarship in honor of 1953 FAMU graduate tennis and golf great Althea Gibson. The $250 scholarship is open to a female student athlete who writes an essay on the importance of minority females in one or all of the sports recently cut. Applications can be picked up in the OSUA.
