The Tallahassee Chapter of the FAMU Alumni Gospel Choir will sponsor a pre-homecoming praise party on Saturday, Oct. 8th at 6 p.m. at the Watson Temple Church of God in Christ on Brevard Street. The AAA Administration is looking for dedicated, hard-working students to join its various task forces. If you have an interest in communications, community service, graduate student issues, lobbying at the Capitol, athletic affairs, academic standards, student welfare and the state of the university, then you are asking to apply for one of the task forces. Applications are available on the second floor of the Student Union.

The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is sponsoring a scholarship in honor of 1953 FAMU graduate and tennis and golf great Althea Gibson. The $250 scholarship is open to a female student athlete who writes an essay on the importance of minority females in one or all of the sports recently cut. Applications can be picked up in the OSUA.
