The AAA Administration is looking for dedicated, hard-working students to join its various task forces. If you have an interest in communications, community service, graduate student issues, lobbying at the Capitol, athletic affairs, academic standards, student welfare and the state of the university, then you are asking to apply for one of the task forces. Applications are available on the second floor of the Student Union.

Elder Lamar Simmons and Love & Faith Ministries will be hosting Renewal Celebration 2005. Services will be held nightly from Sept. 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. Speakers include Bishop Andrew Ford, Dr. John Gunns, and Bishop Liston Page. Attention all FAMU Journalism and Graphic Communications students. Sign up now for the SJGC Fall 2005 Career Fair scheduled for Sept. 28 & 29. The Office of Student Financial Aid is requesting all students who were awarded College Work Study who have not received their assignments to come by the office by Sept. 23 by 6 p.m. If you miss this deadline, your award will be cancelled. SGA presents BIG SHOW 3: Homecoming 2K5 Concert at the Civic Center on Oct. 22. Tickets are $16 until Monday. They can be purchased at the student box office on the Set, at TicketMaster and Bella Donna Shoes in Governors’ Square Mall. Seating is researved so get your tickets now. The Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is sponsoring a scholarship in honor of 1953 FAMU graduate and tennis and golf great Althea Gibson. The $250 scholarship is open to a female student athlete who writes an essay on the importance of minority females in one or all of the sports recently cut.
