Football game proves love of school

It was nice to see a lot of Rattler pride on the field of Bragg Stadium.

Despite all of the turmoil and chaos our school has been undertaking in the last several months, this game really displayed our true love for our University.

Even during a brief altercation with the Howard University football team and The Marching 100, students and alumni alike, showed their dedication and fidelity to the University at any cost.

It was unfortunate that it took an ignorant altercation to get us to stand up for our school.

Seeing all of the greek organizations, family and friends showing up for one of the top rivalries among HBCUs was a sign of the fidelity our University shares.

When it all boils down, no matter how much we complain about Interim President Castell V. Bryant, financial aid and parking, we still bear that absolute love for what this school goes through and prohibit anyone else from the outside criticizing it.

It seems as if the football team possesses some newly-found pride for FAMU as well.

With the game being a rematch of last year’s Howard University homecoming game, it may have lit a torch inside of the team members to continue winning. The football team truly played well and proved a lot of doubters wrong.

We can honestly say that this game made us feel proud to say we are students of Florida A&M University.

Maybe next time, when we are so quick to complain, we can sit back and think about the good times and instances that make it worth while to shout out that we are RATTLERS!
