The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down near Florida A&M University’s Palmetto South apartments Friday afternoon.
The tornado damaged at least two cars, but no other injuries have been reported.
The funnel cloud appeared at approximately 1:20 this afternoon after a tornado watch was issued for the Tallahassee area.
The National Weather Service has also issued an urban and small-stream flood advisory for the area.
