Lady Rattlers rout Tigers

A lot of statistics stuck out from the women’s basketball team’s jaunt with Savannah State Monday, but the Lady Tigers’ six assists was the most telling in Florida A&M’s 74-48 victory.

Forward Ariel Towns contributed another double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Rattlers in both categories. Charon Williams was lethal from the perimeter, making 50 percent of her 3-point attempts, on her way to 12 points in 20 minutes of work. From a one-point halftime lead, FAMU outscored Savannah State 41-16 in the second half for a comfortable 26-point win.
