Writer is right about stem cells

Your Oct. 1 story, “Hidden agenda used to promote stem cells,” was correct.

I was a biology and chemical science double major at neighboring FSU. The rejection by the hosts of “foreign” embryonic stem cells, while probably killing an unborn baby, is a major reason that embryonic stem cells are not viable. I also have my doubts about adult stem cells, which are probably not as effective as a healthy lifestyle.

Daniel, for a computer major, you’re right on the money on the biological (and political) themes of the day. FAMU, your school, is not behind at all, if you hang in there.
