Financial Aid Fiasco

How do universities with 40,000+ students and multiple campuses avoid financial aid drama? I attended Famu in the late 80s, early 90s, and the financial aid department was a travesty. I graduated and attended another university anticipating a negative financial aid experience. Surprisingly, the financial aid process went smoothly. Many of us do only what we want to do, like we want to do it, and when we want to do it. One does not need a degree in organizational behavior to see that part of the problem is some of the financial aid employees. These employees need to be seriously counseled about their contribution to the problem and informed of the consequences of continued poor job performance. Another part of the problem is incomplete paperwork submitted by the student. But this is why there are financial aid counselors. Don’t beg and plead with the student, document.
