Senate meets briefly

The student senate convened Monday evening for its first meeting of the semester. The proceedings, however, were rushed so senators could attend the Black Caucus meeting in Lee Hall auditorium.

Sophomore Sen. Ramond Alexander, chairman of the Judicial and Rules Committee, announced that student statute meetings will be held this semester.

Elections and Appointments Chair Sen. Jo’Vion Greer said his committee hopes to correct any discrepancies before the upcoming student elections.

Sen. Tarra Crawford announced that the committee will be presenting its audit of SGA positions and the assigned responsibilities.

Senate Pro-Tempore, Roshell Rosemond announced the recent resignation of former Sen. Robert Brewer III. The reasons for Brewer’s resignation were not disclosed during the meeting.
