South Carolina State University
The Lady Bulldogs soccer team were held scoreless for the fourth time this season during Wednesday’s 4-0 loss to UNC-Asheville. According to the SCSU athletics information desk, that game was one of the team’s worst offensive performances because they had no shots on goal. However, the defensive end performed fairly by limiting UNCA to only four goals out of 35 shots. The team’s next game is Friday against Fisk University.

Coppin State University
Wake Forest overpowered the Lady Eagles (0-5; 0-1 MEAC) in the opening match of the Georgetown Classic Volleyball Tournament 3-0 (30-17, 30-11, 30-17). Wake Forest held a 4-1 block advantage and became the first opponent to out-block the Lady Eagles in their past four matches. Sophomore Stacy Celestine’s eight digs and four kills led the way for Coppin.

Morgan State University
An eighth place finish at the Towson University Invitational was all the Morgan State Lady Bear cross country team could muster. Hofstra University won the meet with 43 points, Morgan State had 242 points. Nichelle Gibba led the Lady Bears with a time of 20:19, earning a 38th place overall finish among attendees. Their next meet is Saturday in the University of Delaware Invitational.
