Bishop Richardson to deliver keynote speech at graduation

Bishop A. J. Richardson Jr., prelate of the 19th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church will be FAMU’s Spring 2002 commencement speaker. An estimated 1,200 students, as well as family, friends and FAMU alumni, faculty and staff will attend the ceremony. Proceedings will begin on Saturday April 27 at 8 a.m. in the FAMU Bragg Memorial Stadium.Richardson served 18 years as the senior minister of Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee. Since winning election to the Episcopalcy in Louisville, Ky., Richardson has served as the Presiding Prelate of the 14th Episcopal District of West Africa, and presently serves as the 19th Episcopal District of West Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa.
