Top lawyer to speak at honors ceremony

From press release:Florida A&M University will recognize its best and brightest for their outstanding academic credentials at the Honors Convocation next Tuesday at 10:10 a.m. in Lee Hall Auditorium.Attorney Willie Gary will be the speaker. Attorney Gary is the senior partner in the law firm of Gary, Williams, Parenti, Finney, Lewis, McManus, Watson and Sperando. The former migrant worker is now a multi-millionaire who has been featured in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, Ebony, Jet, People, Black Enterprise, Fortune, The New Yorker and The National Law Journal. Forbes magazine listed him as one of the top 50 attorneys in America. An inspirational speaker, Gary is also a businessman, churchman, humanitarian and philanthropist who owns his own national television cable network and hosts his own television campaign. He has been awarded honorary Doctorates of Law degrees from eleven universities.The honors convocation recognizes undergraduates who possess a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Its theme is “Excellence + Persistence: A Prescription for Greatness”.In addition, each School or College has selected two outstanding students from among its best and brightest. these individuals possess not only high academic achievemnet but also leadership skills.Honorees and academic marshals from each college/school should gather in front of Coleman library at 9:15 a.m.
